It's a versatile stat, but it should be noted that Perception only gives 1 accuracy per point.

Perception has alot of player only checks in game and also helps you spot traps and hidden objects. Especially if you can also debuff their defenses. Using a 1h weapon for bonus accuracy and running a high accuracy build with crit supporting items is a valid DPS choice :). Conversely Grazes loses 50% damage and 50% duration on effects. Remember that crits get 25% increased damage and 50% increased penetration + 25% increased duration on effects. More accuracy is always valuable and accuracy becomes much more valuable as your foes get harder. Perception: Accuracy means more hits, less grazes, and more crits. Very few checks in the story so far I've seen. Dexterity also provide reflex which helps avoid many damage spells, traps, and a few CC's. Basically for dex to out DPS might requires you to be allowed to do max stationary DPS. However for dex to "pay off" requires a bit of time as the opening salvo from Might will hit harder and alot of time that would be used to attack is often wasted by movement, being interrupted, being CC'd, etc. A few checks in the story but Eder can usually do the might check for you.Äexterity: Action speed means less damage per hit compared to Might but more hits overall. Helps boost your fort defense to help guard against poisons, diseases, as well as many CC's and debuffs. Might: Good for dealing the most damage possible with abilities that have limited uses or casts. Play a style that is fun to you and don't worry about ~10% efficiency. Although if you don't need int, you could tank that instead since resolve still gives some deflection.

It might actually be worse somehow because I feel there's way less CC stuff being thrown at you in this game compared to the first one, and it's easier to "dispel" stuff or "block" stuff with the inspiration/affliction system, plus fighter has a bunch of resist x type of affliction things which generally remove the annoying one out of the way(like downscaling paralyze to immobilize which is a lot better with resistance to dex affliction). Just like in the first game it's a terrible stat. When in doubt, tank resolve, then use those sweet points to get useful stats. Especially for a 2H, if you miss, you're basically not doing anything for 5secs, which is pretty bad. Dex and might increase your damage output potentially more over long periods of time on average, but perception reduces the spikes between no/low damage and high damage, giving you a much more reliable damage output which on short fights is a lot more useful. Even not on potd, you want decent perception, it tends to be the better stat. Not sure what difficulty but for PotD you want 18 perception on anything that needs to hit stuff.
